Membership Renewals. MOST IMPORTANT!
We are aware that many of you are incredibly keen as regards your membership with the Order. So much so that you renew early each year. May we please ask that you don´t do this. It is causing problems with the Bursar´s department, (And we definitely don´t want that).
There is a new system that will come into operation during December of this year.
Every member will be emailed an invoice. Don´t pay until you receive the invoice. When you get the invoice you will have 30 days to pay your renewal. After that, if you haven´t renewed, we will assume that you no longer wish to be part of our ranks and therefore, sorrowfully, we will have to remove you from our lists. Please don´t let it happen!
The renewal amount will be displayed on the invoice. Then just click and renew. It´s that simple.
If you don´t receive email newsletters and still use the hard copy then please don´t worry. In the Yule edition of the newsletter there will be the bank details, just make to transfer as usual.
Don´t forget, if you want to avoid all of this why not set up a direct debit/standing order with your bank. Nothing could be easier.
And finally to clear up a point, if you´ve been invested or joined at the June dinner or after during the summer/autumn you don´t renew until the next following year. Example: You´ve joined in July 26, you renew in January 28, then every January after that. If you join at De Berckt in November/December 26, then you renew in January 28.
Please remember though that early renewals cause problems with the systems, and we´ve got a new armoured car bought just for the new payment method. (I can´t wait to take it for a spin).
